Use the Proxies tab of the Desktop Settings document to determine whether users of the policy will access the Internet through a proxy server, and to specify settings for each of several types of proxies.

Procedure

Complete the following fields on the Proxies tab:

Field	Action
HTTP Proxy	If you are using an HTTP proxy server to connect to the Internet, specify the proxy name and port number in this format: fully-qualified proxy server name:port number
Use HTTP proxy for these Internet protocols:	Click Yes or No according to whether you want to use the HTTP proxy for all Internet protocols.
FTP proxy	If you are using an FTP proxy server, specify the fully-qualified domain name and port number in this format: fully-qualified proxy server name:port number
Gopher proxy	If you are using a Gopher proxy server to connect to the Internet, specify the fully-qualified domain name and port number in this format: fully-qualified proxy server name:port number
Security proxy	If you are using a Security proxy server to connect to the Internet, specify the fully-qualified domain name and port number in this format: fully-qualified proxy server name:port number
SOCKS proxy	If you are using a SOCKS proxy server to connect to the Internet, specify the fully-qualified domain name and port number in this format: fully-qualified proxy server name:port number
HTTP Tunnel proxy	If you are using an HTTP Tunnel proxy server to connect to the Internet, specify the fully-qualified domain name and port number in this format: fully-qualified proxy server name:port number
No proxy for these hosts and domains	If the server is configured to use a proxy, it uses the proxy for all connection. To prevent use of the proxy for connections to certain servers, specify the server name with domain.
