CONFIGURING
Specifies whether IMAP Sent, Draft, and Trash folders are synchronized with their corresponding Notes Sent, Draft, and Trash views. Mail templates must be updated to Domino 8.5.2 or later designs to recognize this feature. Enable this setting for users who switch between Notes mail and IMAP-based mail.
When an IMAP client Sends, Saves as Draft, or Deletes a mail message, the message is stored in an IMAP-based Sent, Draft, or Trash folder in the Notes mail database. When a Notes client Sends, Saves as Draft, or Deletes a mail message, that message is stored in a Notes-based Sent, Draft, or Trash view. When you enable synchronization, each set of folders is synchronized, so users see a complete set of Sent, Draft, and Trash documents regardless of which client they use. The IMAP client must subscribe to the hidden folders in the mail templates. The folder names need to match exactly.
Syntax: EnableImapFolderSynch=value
0 - Do not enable synchronization
1 - Enable synchronization
Applies to: Servers running Domino 8.5.2 or later that service IMAP clients
Default: None
UI equivalent: None, although you can specify this setting in the NOTES.INI Settings tab of the Configuration Settings document in the Domino® Directory.
Restart the server for the setting to take effect.
If the synchronization does not work for a client, disable and re-enable IMAP support for the mail file by running the following commands:
load convert -e- mail/mailfile.nsf
load convert -e mail/mailfile.nsf
