Using X.509 certificates for mail and document encryption

You can set up the use of X.509 certificates for mail and document encryption for users who run Notes® 8.0.1 or later. Messages retain the Notes format and full message fidelity. This configuration is particularly useful when smart cards are used.

Procedure

1. In the Domino® Administrator client, click People & Groups.

2. Select the names of users who will use X.509 certificates for mail and document encryption.

3. Click Use X.509 certificate for Notes document encryption, if possible.
