We are currently looking for an IT Director. The salary range is $125K-$150K with excellent company benefits including stock options and profit sharing.
Job Description
Proven track record of success in managing IT operations, driving digital transformation, and supporting business growth, particularly within private equity-backed organizations, and/or M&A environments. This position requires a hands-on leader of company-wide IT activities, including business applications (NetSuite, etc.), re-engineering business processes through technology, infrastructure, networks, telecom, security, disaster recovery and overall IT support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s IT post-carveout strategy in alignment with business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Responsible for managing the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various ERP (NetSuite), CRM, and other related business applications and databases.
- Work with external customers and operational executive team members to establish short- and long-term strategic objectives to achieve targeted growth projections.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications (ERP, CRM) systems and infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and applications.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and drive competitive advantage.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met. In addition, this position will manage outside managed services provider relationships for both applications and infrastructure services.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure IT performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, controlling costs while maximizing ROI and value delivery.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in the pharma and food industries, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage technology for the business.
- Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, Information Technology, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility
- Proven experience working for private equity-backed companies, and/or in M&A environments.
- Strong technical background with expertise in ERP applications, infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and other enterprise software solutions in relevant industries
- Experience with implementing and supporting major application systems in a pharma or food manufacturing environment. Understanding and experience with technologies such as:
- ERP (NetSuite)
- Process Control systems.
- Laboratory systems
- Bar coding and data collection systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive digital transformation.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex IT projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) are a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

- A “businessperson” perspective and the ability to manage issues rather than tasks within the general framework of a business plan which calls for continued and profitable growth.
- Successful record of effectively managing and implementing cost effective software applications, system conversions, hardware upgrades and technology integrations.
- Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Superior facilitation and communication skills – both verbal and written.
- The role is hybrid so will require onsite presence at least 4 days per week.
- Currently residing within commuting distance to the Northeast New Jersey or willing to relocate to the area within ~3 months [No relocation available]
